Royal Car was a pleasure to work with, from start to finish. We were hesitant about renting a car through a local company, however the rates at international companies were double the rates of Royal. We decided to take a chance - and I'm very glad that we did! Booking via the website was easy. Adil answered the phone every time we called, and patiently answered any questions (that cannot be said about other Mauritian local car companies). The employees who met us at the airport, especially Joel, were punctual, capable and hospitable. Everyone had a smile on their face and a lot of patience to deal with any questions. We were given the car as described, and even a free GPS unit which was a Godsend as our phone companies did not provide any data service on Mauritius. The GPS helped us enormously as the island has a lot of small, local roads which are tough to navigate as there are no street names or street signs anywhere. All in all, a fair price and great service - I would definitely recommend booking with Royal.

Royal Car Rental were extremely brilliant. Their service was excellent, and the cleanliness of the car exceeded expectations. I had to add my husband onto the insurance during our rental period and within minutes they responded to my request and each communication was hassle free and I will always trust, and use Royal Car rental when I next visit Mauritius for a holiday. Very reasonable prices too, fantastic all round, VERY PLEASED CUSTOMER, Thank you!!

Very professional team. They were right there waiting for us at the international airport (it was only 6 am), check-in was quick. Brand new car, very recent, no notable defect. Perfect for travelling the Mauritian roads. Check-out just as effective at the airport (the team was present on the parking as soon as we arrived). Nothing went wrong. Good price and quality. We need to encourage these kind of small businesses.
